This is a little research that I do to clarify some questions I had about, what would be better for my pj to cause more damage?
However, I think the information can be quite useful to any of you to use this data to apply it to your characters and can make the most of it.
Firts of all, the critical% is based on the total damage that you are going to do, instead the soul or the str, are more like the base damage that you will do and that, of course, affects your critical damage, however.
For pj that have a lot of damage, the critical% is better, since the critical base damage is high and increased by x% will greatly increase this.
But for the pj with moderate power it is better to put them Soul or STR, since, as their base damage is medium-low, if they put him% crit would not increase much.
Example:
1 kame = 3,000 damage (considering damage reduction by mob or pj def)
1 kame crit = 6,000 damage
1 kame crit + 20 Soul (40E.dmg = 200-300) = 3,200-3,300 = 6,400 - 6,800 damage
1 kame crit + 40 Soul (80E.dmg = 400 - 500) = 3,400 - 3,500 = 6,800 - 7,000 damage
----------
1 kame = 3,000 damage (considering damage reduction by mob or pj def)
1 kame crit = 6,000 damage
1 kame crit + 20% = 6,000 + (3,000 * 0.20 = 600) = 6,600 damage
1 kame crit + 40% = 6,000 + (3,000 * 0.40 = 1,200) = 7,200 damage

1 kame = 4,000 damage (considering damage reduction by mob or pj def)
1 kame crit = 8,000 damage
1 kame crit + 20 Soul (40E.dmg = 200-300) = 4,200-4,300 = 8,400 - 8,800 damage
1 kame crit + 40 Soul (80E.dmg = 400 - 500) = 4,400 - 4,500 = 8,800 - 9,000 damage
-------
1 kame = 4,000 damage (considering damage reduction by mob or pj def)
1 kame crit = 8,000 damage
1 kame crit + 20% = 8,000 + (4,000 * 0.20 = 800) = 8,800 damage
1 kame crit + 40% = 8,000 + (4,000 * 0.40 = 1600) = 9,600 damage

1 kame = 5,000 damage (considering damage reduction by mob or pj def)
1 kame crit = 10,000 damage
1 kame crit + 20 Soul (40E.dmg = 200-300) = 5,200-5,300 = 10,400 - 10,800 damage
1 kame crit + 40 Soul (80E.dmg = 400-500) = 5,400 - 5,500 = 10,800 - 11,000 damage
-------
1 kame = 5,000 damage (considering damage reduction by mob or pj def)
1 kame crit = 10,000 damage
1 kame crit + 20% = 10,000 + (5,000 * 0.20 = 1,000) = 11,000 damage
1 kame crit + 40% = 10,000 + (5,000 * 0.40 = 2,000) = 12,000 damage

Conclusion:
If your damage is 3,000 to 4,000, it is better to use soul or str.
Since the critic will be almost the same as the one you would have equipando% crit.
However if your damage exceeds 5,000 and you have a good chance to hit critical, it would be better to equip% crit.
