I was wondering how actual dmg is calculated. From what Daneos said, property (i.e. attribute) has now been included in the dmg calculation before the crit dmg calculation.
Let's suppose the dmg from a skill is 1,000 if not crited. Suppose the target gets a defence advantage by 20% from the dmg due to the property on his jacket. Then, the dmg will be 800 (=1,000 x 0.8). If the skill crits by 500%, the final dmg should be 4,000 (=800 x 5). This has been calculated by the new dmg calculation. (Please feel free to correct me if I am mistaken about the fomular.)
The thing is, I don't see any theoretical difference between the old and the new dmg calculation. That is,
1,000 = no crit
5,000 = if crited by 500%
4,000 = reduced dmg by 20% due to the property
Put it simply, the values calculated respectively by (AxB)xC and Ax(BxC) must be identical.
I don't understand what Denos exactly meant by saying 'property included in the dmg calculation before the crit dmg calculation.'
Could anyone teach me plz?
