I opened the game through the launcher but ran into problem with it when i launch it tells me that it's checking the version I'm on but i gets stuck on it and I'm not able to start it whatsoever .

That's the old launcher. If you visit the download page or #downloads channel in DBOG discord, you'll see links to get the new launcher. That should help!
