So, when i go to run the DBO launcher.exe it comes up with 'the launcher has an update available' (I cant decline this no matter what i click it automatically updates) but when it is actually updating literally no progress is being made, the bar doesn't go up at all, i left my PC on overnight... Nothing. Someone help, it'll be greatly appreciated

Try to deactivate anti-virus system and install the game again.

Try to locate DBOG.exe in the folder where you installed DBOG.... delete it and start the patcher again.
