I presume you don't have a date or approximation for the release of 2.0 ?
There isn't a specific date for the release of 2.0 nor an estimate date.

So this morning I went check the update and play some Ranked Battles. As I was playing, I noticed the repair notification popping at my screen. I did some tests and the Ranked battle is now breaking your equips after this last Update from 11/01/2016.
