i reeead and i still think is a shit system.doesnt exist other games that use this system anymore.i bet u didnt play dbo and got no idea of how it work.u spend lets say 40 euros and 3 mounths,u try upgrade and u get shittier item than before cuz they go to +0 again after u spended 100 euros for be competitive nad make them +10 or more,and let's syay that it took 1 years without cashing.u will be happy?me certainly not,let's be realistic who will be happy?id rather go to casinos atleast i will get real money

i hope this will be changhed,because that upgrade system is for f2p crappy games,other games nowdays doesnt make u lose the item,is just ridicoules and frustrating.if he will keep it this way i bet that 2-3 mounths and will be a desert like kr release,the difference here is most likely other server will open and ppl will migrate to other server where upgrade is better.i was play original dbo and i see a lot of ppl quit cuz of upgrade system

it is rng...me and some friend try hacking it on real server,and we discovered that doesnt matter what card u choose

previous rates on dev server - everything after +6(weapon) +4(armor) was between 2-3%
with that upgrade system 1-2 mounths and ppl will quit...trust me,i know how that game work and u need atleast +10 for some dunegon...ppl will don't want to grind for a chance and will quit for a more user friendly game...my 2 cents

until this game will make upgrade reset to 0 will fail,that model is for crappy f2p games,can't wait to see people complain and quit,for do high level dunegons u need atleast +10 or more for get another endgame gear that you will need make it to +10 or more for be competitive...i don't say to gift +15 to all but atleast remove that will go again to +0,its just stupid and a loss of time and people like me will buy already upgraded items for irl money to not have to do with that shit system again

a friend of mine buy +15 pole(the one i was have) for 150 USD
if downgrade still i m sure 100% site who sell items will pop up
and dont forgot about bot and cam cuz will need zeni for buy stones...

i take reference from original dbo
weapon was easy to +8 and armour till +6 but defnece is important even in pve phase so +8 is kind of all round gear for hard things
btw the % is just a theory need test out for see how works -

this will make ppl rage quit and get pissed everytime.
i talk with my old dbo friends who actually know how the game was and how upgrade is and we come up with this:
to +8 armor or weapon , 100% rate
+8++ will do changes only fail and succes : the succes though has low chance
8>9 35%
9>10 25%
10>11 18%
11 > 12 12%
12 > 13 8%
13 > 14 4%
14 > 15 2%this is how it should or atleast close to this , we test it and we see if it is low enough or high to balance it more
i hope devs will take this in considerations.
imagine ppl all with +15 , crazy PVP tournement if u ask me , and ther u can see true skills of combo and reflex
not realy , it will take atleast 4-5 month to do full set +15 ... wich is crazy long time
everyone +15 is good though , ther wont be a p2w character wich u all aparently are used to see it
when the game is based on Gears , make sure to make all ppl attein same gear otherwise it get boring and ppl will leave

Tera , AuraKingdom , DMO , are prime examples where ur chances get higher next time if u fail , no break , do TERA players whine about all being +12 ? no .
there is no sense in maintaining such a broken system if you're not accounting for the marketing. main reason F2P MMOs even introduce an enchantment system is simply since they want to extend the replay value and maximize profit from microtransactions.
in CHN B&S ; "oh, don't wanna break your item? we have 12-pack mercury special in cash shop to save your ass for only $19.99!"
IMBO like people have suggested here, retain the old enchantment system but remove the breaks, fails are okay. just further increase the gold cost, problem solved.
