After downloading and extracting this game from the download site, I attempted to run the file 'dbog.exe,' only to find Norton Virus Protection swating me down. Now, it has removed "Trojan.Gen.8" from my system, which includes the removal of dbog.exe and the updater. If anyone could help me with this then that would be great, but I'm more concerned about the actual trojan virus than me not being able to play this game.

False positive, something to do with the old digital signature its NOT a virus thousands of people play this game daily including myself and we all go through it. You must disable norton, install then make exception for the dragon ball online global folder then turn back on your AV

Thank you for the help. I find it somewhat unsettling that, in order to play this game, I must deactivate Norton.
I hope to see you online. -
To be 100% sure you know. You can turn your antivirus back online/active when you have installed DBOG.
Make it whitelisted or accepted by your antivirus program before you turn it back on so that it doesn't delete files from the folder. Then you can happily play the game while having your antivirus keeping you safe
