every time i go near the mob i have to kill it says quest failed
p.s i really would like to have that exp thx 
the quest is bugged or am i doing it wrong??

If this is the quest where you kill the boss, all you need to do is stay outside the RED circle that marks the spot and kill him there, when he's dead, dash inside the circle and the NPC will be revealed
This will finish the quest
