Kaioken or SSJ?

  • At 3SP, Kaioken has 30% attack, and SSJ has 20%. If you have the SP to spare and want the 10% power boost, Kaioken is still the stronger option.

The one case where SSJ is your ultimate form is when you're a non-speed Fighter not using Thunder. At that point SSJ's 30% dodge boost compliments you enough to replace Kaioken. SSJ is also better for speed parties, but you receive it at no cost anyway. Either how, it can effectively be your main transformation if you have no SP to spare, or if you're a non-speed Fighter.

  • One more question, is it worth using more than 1x kaioken as Turtle Hermit

It's not worth stacking Kaioken no matter what race you are. That aspect used to be overpowered in retail because Kaiokenx2 doubled critrate, Kaiokenx3 tripled it, etc. Because of that Daneos decided to basically remove it's critboosting function rather than simply nerf it. I believe he said he wanted SSJ to be the superior form in comparison, but since he doesn't want to buff SSJ, every race ends up suffering for SSJ's sake so that it can....still be weaker than Kaioken.:dtitter: But hey, at least it's easier to maintain in solo play. :dpeace:(Though newbies still complain about that being too hard as well...)

You'll get about 1 critrate per Kaioken stack now , but the LP drain is so insane it's not worth it even for short battles. It puts too much pressure even on your healer to be worth the effort there.
