Stuck on Timerift quest with ox king

First time rift quest ever playing. game doesn't appear to be frozen but can't press anything or get out of this. oxking is standing there with a text bubble but can't do anything.

yea, it just got stuck. now the game won't boot at all. stay's stuck on black screen.

so i closed the game and came back and when i walk into the quest the ox king isn't even there and I don't know what to do since the text is in a different language. i have tried forfeiting the quest and restarting to no avail. he just doesn't come out any more. please help.
