I keep getting the debug assertion failed error and ive tried everything and it still keeps happening

I tried changing the language for the patch, ive tried deleting visual c++ and the .dll files i was told to delete and even with doing all that i still keep getting the error and I dont know what else to do so if anyone else has had this error can they tell me if and how they solved it so I can figure out how to fix it

do you want the .dmp file because now when i try to load up the game it just stops after a white screen

just tried the compatibility mode now the game when it pops up with the white screen i cant close the window and it forces me to restart, is there a specific compatibility version i should use? because it goes from 95 to windows 8
