When an enemy spawns close to any character it instantly starts attacking, I think there should be a delay on that detection.
Enemy detection on spawn

Was there a delay in retail DBO?
If not, why do you think this is required now?
-
Because almost every mmorpg does this, makes no sense to walk on an unknown area and suddenly get surrounded by spawning enemies without a chance to dash away.
-
TBH I have little mmorpg experience, but I never had any trouble with what you mention. You actually have a visual and sound alarm when a mob detects you, so once that comes you should know someone is looking for you. Enough time to 2-dash and decide what you want to do: fight or run.

nope, wrong not almost every mmorpg does that.
its fine how it is,if you're gaming you're gaming no sense in implementing a 'delay'.
-
I never noticed that problem on the retail DBO must be because dashing could avoid attacks and we don't have this yet, that probably would also solve my problem.

I don't actually remember dashing helping you avoid attacks: only would make sense for me as in dashing puts you out of the mobs' attack range thus "avoiding" the attack, which actually happens in DBOG. Might be wrong tho.

not really a problem,in most mmos when the mobs apear you are screwed, either stay and fight or leave...in dbo we are lucky, double tap the w key like a mad man and after a couple dash you're out of the woods.
-
Dashing would "dodge" attacks, here no matter how far you dash, If the enemy starts the animation the damage will pursue you

The ones I played had the delay, and dashing doesn't work that well when the area is full of mobs and you're squishy

Maybe that has something to do with a bug with how attack animation/damage/range is working right now mobs-wise, to be honest I haven't notice it because I had no issues with it. However a delay wouldn't still be the solution, but rather see if the programming on that is ok.

It's just a matter of convenience really, thanks for hearing me out.

It's true. In retail DBO, there was about a 2 second delay the second an enemy spawned.
Considering this enemy didn't even EXIST before and just spawned in from nowhere........yeah, it's only fair you get a quick chance to react and NOT get seen, rather than getting immediately spotted by something you couldn't know would suddenly exist right next to you.
