Since you are using the games code and making a profit from selling "founders packs" how is any of this going to go on without a cease and desist?
The entire legality of this project?

they make their own codes for one, and idk about the second question, but I'm sure there is nothing wrong with donating? they didnt say we had to pay to play. but they gave us an option to donate instead. so its still technically free
-
DBOG does not use ntl code, They are only using the client.
-
But the clients assets and code are still owned by Toei...... It is still technically illegal if they take donations for the game. Regardless of if it is required to play or not
-
The only data we use are the ones which you can find inside the client.
If you wanna come up with "this is illegal" then dont talk anymore until you come back with a lawyer and people who own the rights on DBO.

I am just saying it might be bad for your project. In the past Dragonball projects have been shut down even if they were completely original.....
-
Would you like to tell me the project names which have been shut down by force?
-
Oh yes this happened a while ago..... There was a Quake 3 mod about Dragonball. It was called Bid For Power. The original version got a cease and desist notice from the owners of Dragonball simply for using Dragonball concepts and characters.
I could probably find more as well. You had better watch your steps for the sake of your project
-
Lol why would they be shutdown if the official people from DBOCOM mentions to check this site out from their site? that would make 0 sense
-
DBOCOM isn't a trusted source lol. Their English patch was a confirmed virus
-
Oh wait. Disregard the virus part. DBOCOM was a fan site
-
whats the official site of dbo?
nvm its probs down
but besides tht point. this project has been gaining buzz over years, have crazy FB news, is known as a DBO emulator. you'd think the creators would contact them, which they didnt
-
I think it is shut down. And DBOCOM linked to dbor not DBOG lol
-
I just checked the site, to make sure I wasnt high. but on my page it links both lol http://dbocom.com/
-
It links to both, that's how I found out about DBOG.

Just for your informations. They run into copyright problems because they took models and grafiks from dragonball games which are still activate. DBO is dead and none of the copyright owners still care about DBO. If you ever been activate in that industry you will know that no one cares about things which dont earn money.
Also I asked you about "dragonball ONLINE" projects which have been taken down and not some dragonball game copies.
And tell me, the quak 3 mod could you get it for free or had to pay?
whats the official site of dbo?
Dont exist.

In quite a cruel fashion videogame fan projects usually get shut down just before release or just after release. I am not saying it will happen but it could

Not entirely true. They made the textures themselves. But they used concepts and audio that belonged to their respective owners. You are using assets that still technically belong to Toei and such
-
Doomguy1 is right , they will sue you and arrest you for copyright and you will eat shit food in jail.
