Hi my AVG antivirus detects the DBOG.exe file like a Trojan what should I do ?
Is it really a virus ? and why detects it like one, if it's not really a virus? Help me please Thanks.
Trojan virus on DBO files

Not a virus, just a false positive I'm guessing. AVG is garbage, use avast instead! I can assure you DBOG is not a virus as thousands of people are playing.

Okay thank u very much Hotpockets I hope it will be safe Thanks again!

i throw AVG half year ago when he blocked me gmail..... because i got emails from my work with pdf.... and he said that gmail / google / facebook sites are dangerous and he blocked it without even questioning....
so it could be same with your AVG... dont trust it in 100%.
Free antyvir.... the best is now AVAST
from paid (or .... cracked) Eset / kaspersky (but it tooks many RAM) -
Most of the time AVG, Norton are virus themself, they compete against other virusprograms, sometimes they trying to control every program on your computer. Thats why i am only running with windows defender 8.1 and malware bytes is checking my computer every month, and doesnt interfere with my programs. If you guys by any chance having problem launching a game its because of norton or avg.
I cant stress enough that Norton is the worst antivirusprogram (virus) ever it litteraly stops you from doing anything on your computer, usually parents give their children this absurd program(most of the time windows 8 has it preinstalled into your files but isnt active before you really install it, your windows updater keeps trying to give you advice to install norton but dont do it uninstall the crap and make it burn away from your harddisk ehm i mean delete it from your files) that they think will protect them but in fact will only hinder them for having fun.
thats my 2 cents "Saitama flies away"
Ps.: never had any problems with my computer, if something is going bad imma just root kill stuff and look into my HKEY

I got the Trojan virus in my torrent download I ignored it and decided to deal with it later and then my OS (Windows 8.1) blocked DBO launcher, I then uninstalled the game as it had problems with the launcher and then decided to try the download again but through a google download it took longer but no problems whatsoever. I now have a new anti virus and there is no virus, my advice to anyone encountering a virus in download is to go for a direct download.
p.s. I'm loving the game!

Kaspersky detected something from updater.exe called multi.generic something. And I deleted it.

I talked about it at the end of this forum here. I wanna play this game

So it's just a false positive? that's good to know..., what would cause these to be detected like a virus in the first place?
