Licensing for DBO

the terms of service in the original DBO allow a private server to b made and hosted as long as the host party doesn't use it's assets for-profit. Thus we use donate to help make the server come alive.
It's perfectly legal

Yeah sad to say that even though this game is "dead" Bandai stated that they aren't going to grant rights of the game to anyone. Of course, if Daneos and co. play smart they won't get on Bandai's bad side. What's sad is that Bandai probably knew like the developers that there was a huge, English base for the game.

Cash Shop is more one of those "rewards" you get for helping keep the server alive. Since Cash Shop will possess no items that can be deemed p2w, this is more optional than anything. Nonetheless, something needs to appeal a player to donate. At the same time, a person can just donate and refuse to use CS all together.

Idk. Unless your a lawyer, I would believe you. I'm waiting to see what happens. I will play as much as I can in case the worse happens, which I hope doesn't.
