Something that really bugs me is how expensive crafting can get when it comes to lvling. Now I don't mind farming for gear to use a materials, but having to pay a fortune to craft items simply to level? Anyway, would it be viable to make the crafting recipes slightly cheaper to craft in cost?

You will get that money back when you start crafting good lvl 70 items. You can even get money during the leveling by selling the good crafted items even if they are low level. For me the annoying thing about crafting is farming items.
