Although it would be good for the dojo system to be refreshed on a clean slate, this will not happen in pre open beta and will only happen for the server wipe in open beta. This is because we needed to test out the guild challenging feature when another guild already has conquered a dojo. Wiping and revoking all of the dojos will mean that we will not be able to test this function which is a big feature of dojo wars, and clearing it will only delay our testing.

    Hi everyone,

Due to unforeseen circumstances dojo war has been cancelled this week. Unfortunately there were some bugs that occurred that the team was not aware of. I would like to let the community know that this server is pre open beta and it's very likely that when big events such as this are released there is always a chance that not everything does go according to plan and problems might occur that are out of the teams control.

The DBO G Staff would like to thank all active members of the community who were ready to participate in the event. If it wasn't for your help, we wouldn't have been able to discover this bug. We always do appreciate members communicating with us and submitting any new bugs that are to be discovered, and in this situation we were only notified and made aware of this issue because of the players who were excited to test out this feature.

Hopefully if everything is functional, the next Dojo scramble event is planned for the community to participate in is scheduled for next week (Sunday 30/07/2017 at 6:00PM CEST)

    Sorry again for the inconvenience.

Im just going to wait till the reset i cant do it anymore and i was so happy to become a lvl 30 until this happend

Waiting until the reset isn't going to solve your problem. You can become an adult and learn flight you just have to know where you are in the chain.

Most of the time, players experience difficulty with these quests because they don't conduct enough research (with following guides/tutorial videos) and also they lose track of where they are in the quest chain.

Read Cosmos post and work out what you did. What you didn't do is where you are up to in the chain and is what you have to do next.

    UPDATE:
Due to the recent server update, Dojo war is now active in DBO G, and will occur every sunday starting at 6PM (CEST). Guilds will also need to have at least 20 members online and 10 of them need to be level 70 in order to issue a challenge. I will update the guide to contain this information.

I also updated the guide to contain the steps on how to apply for a dojo (issue a challenge).

Good luck to all the guilds that aim to conquer a dojo.

I think 1 problem is that the "quest items "limit is 30 slots. So if you have more than 30 quests that require you to get items to fullfil a quest some won't work. Worse if it is coded badly it might crash/glitch your char due to memory leak.. We had that problem in first tests if some of you remember..

I agree that the limit could be higher - 25 or 30 would be cool, but it needs some coding.. serious coding.. and it depends where the quest items are stored in the memory.. 20 Quests worked for me too. I'm not sure but wasn't it even lower - like 15 or so before lvl 50 or 55 patch?

This certainly could be a problem and is something to consider. As Muh mentioned, some quests store quest items in the quest item inventory (press J to view this inventory). If this inventory is full the quests will no longer count.

Then there also is what Aru mentioned in his post which also should be considered.

In DBO G Pre Open Beta players already do have an easier time leveling compared to the original DBO. With the exception of some quests being broken in DBO G (which will be fixed in the future) I believe questing is easier because:

    • Players have unlimited fast flight. This has helped speed up the questing process considerably compared to how it use to be. Before in DBO KR, TW and KR players did not have this privilege of unlimited fast flight and had to acquire items through the cash shop which was really unfair.
    • Vehicles and Red fuel do not expire. Red fuel use to be a cash shop only item which would expire. This is available in early quests of the game and does not expire which does indeed help traveling faster (especially with lower levels)

If a player is struggling going around the map, I would advise them to make sure to visit all of the teleport points so that you can travel around easier.

Back when I started playing DBO back in 2011:

    -There was no flight system

    -Vehicles and fuel would expire

-There was barley an english patch (so it was harder to work out what to do).

Questing was more difficult back in the day. However, I too would like to see the questing limit of active quests for a player increased so that it generally makes the questing process faster. But if its possible to do, we will see. There are other priorities at the moment that are more important to be fixed at this stage. So players will just have to accept and play with the 20 quest limit for the time being.

And with that, I am now going to lock this thread. It was a big mess to clean up with members initiating a flame war all over a personal build.

To the members who broke rules in this thread:

    • DrDisRespect - You initiated this flame war by not handling constructive criticism. Please in the future if you ask for advise on your build be respectful and remain calm even if you don't exactly agree with the opinion of what other members might say. It is your build, you are free to do what you like. However, we do not appreciate the double/tripple posting and the flaming which is why you have been banned, as that violates our forum code of conduct. Please approach the situation in a more mature manner next time.
    • Terrene - When you see another member post or starting to initiate a flame war and starts to post in an aggressive manner that is not acceptable on these forums, please report it to the mods. It is not acceptable for you to continue to flame Aivaras over his build. If he feels strongly about the issue and why he wants to use certain skills then there is no use trying to persuade him. Sometimes when a member is persistent in their build it is just best to let them be. They will learn in due time through experience.
    • Ultranovaxstyle - Please do not come into a thread labeling a members build as "trash' and then not providing any reasons/constructive criticism or point out the flaws you may see in their build . Please in the future also refrain from using words and phrases such as "trash". This is a form of flaming which provokes other members and didn't really contribute in this situation.

Might I remind everyone that this is a forum and to remain civil. Here is the forum code of conduct. Please read over it carefully because this was an extreme case of members not being productive at all with their posts and instead just turned into a flame war through insults. This thread was a case of a clash of opinions, (which is fine) but what was wrong was it turned into flaming, which is why I'm closing this thread.

Also a few points I would like to add:

    • Build discussion is about a players own decision making. When a player comes to post on these forums they do so asking for advise. If they choose not to listen to the advise that you offered they are free to do that. Granted it might be a wrong decision but its a choice that they are free to make
    • Some players are at different skill levels. Not every one is experienced and are on the same page. Which is perfectly fine. There are both experienced veterans and newcomers. This forum is for all members of the community and please be mindful/respectful of that. If someone doesn't have a good build it's most likely because they lack experience or haven't experimented enough.
    • Sometimes members like to test theories and invent new strategies/ideas and try to be innovative with their builds. I believe this is what Aivaras007 was aiming for, but just expressed himself wrongly when discussing his build with other members. Don't treat a member on this forum with disrespect just because they want to discuss theories and strategies they might have in mind. It is a part of the learning process for them, and if you have doubts as to why you believe their strategy isn't exactly viable then you can express that but do so in a civil manner. Remember it's a personal choice if they want to listen and take on board your advise, or completely disregard it.

If anyone has any questions about this topic feel free to PM me.

Players usually make estimations from the Auction House. Try find similar gear on the Auction House and then you will be able to make your own judgement on what the price of the item you should sell it for so you aren't ripped off.

For a 45 turtle for your gear try con crafted amour as that will help you level. This will increase your LP and help you survive.

I didn't know this was about to come, is there a post somewhere?

There was never an official announcement made, this is the first time it's been mentioned on the forums.

    Well done Tempest awesome guide.

    Thank you :saint:

great guide one question I have tempest is if the guild that applied for a dojo scramble gets turned down for a dojo fight, can they resubmit a second time?

Daneos said that he will make it that they will not be able to resubmit a second time. This is why we are still discussing and deciding what the actual decline fee should be. I will update the guide to contain this information.

Greetings to all members of the DBO G community,

As some of you might be aware already, the next feature to be implemented into Dragon Ball Online Global will be the dojo war feature. The purpose of this guide will be to explain to all players in the community how exactly dojo wars work, what exactly is important about the event and why is it a fun event to participate in.

Frequently asked questions about Dojo Scramble:

    What exactly is a dojo?
A dojo in Dragon Ball Online is a guild base where only guild members can enter. Dojos are placed around the main towns and display the guild that conquered the dojo's logo ontop.

How does a guild obtain a dojo?

To obtain dojo, a guild must compete in a war/battle against a guild that currently own a dojo by issuing a challenge and then defeating the defending guild in a guild war (I will explain in greater detail on how to achieve this later in the guide). Only up to 30 members of each guild can enter and participate this battle, so it turns into a 30 VS 30 match. You do not have to have the full 30 in order to compete.

    What is Dojo Scramble?

Dojo Scramble is a PVP event that occurs once a week. During this event is when guilds have the chance to apply and issue a challenge to a guild that already owns a dojo. Guilds that already own a dojo must fight during this period.

How many Dojos are there in Dragon Ball Online?

There are a total of seven dojo's in DragonBall Online.

Where are the 7 Dojo's located?

The seven dojos are located in the following main towns/cities:

    • Kokkara Village (Yahoi West - Human Starter Zone)
    • Snail Village (Porunga Rocks North - Namekian Starter Zone)
    • Bee Village (Fran Fran Desert North - Majin Starter Zone)
    • Korin Village (Korin Forest)
    • West City (Westland) NOTE: This dojo is located OUTSIDE of West City. You will need to exit west city (from the northern entrance) and head slightly North East to reach the dojo.
    • Buu Memorial (Yahoi East)
    • Mushroom Village (Mushroom Rocks North - Yellow Mushroom Map)

How can my guild apply/what are the requirements for my guild to issue a challenge against a guild that owns a dojo?

-Only the guild leader may issue a challenge against another guild. No regular member or jr master can.

-A guild must have a minimum of 10 level 70 players in the guild to issue a challenge (**NEW CHANGE**)

-A guild must have a minimum of 20 players online(***NEW CHANGE**)

    - Make sure your guild has the guild dojo function purchased with style points:

When can my guild issue a challenge?
Dojo scramble will occur once a week. This will happen every sunday starting at 6PM (CEST)

How many times per week can my guild issue a challenge?

Your guild may only issue one challenge per week and only fight one war.

What are the benefits of owning a dojo, and whats so special about one?
Some benefits of owning a dojo:

-Gives members personal space away from other players of the game, so they can exclusively enter an area with their guild members.

-Access to a merchant that sells the Dojo Outfit Dogi (although this can be traded and obtained through the Auction House also).

-The merchant also sells the dojo home teleport popo item. This item can be used anywhere in the world map and will teleport you to your dojo location.

-Owning a dojo is a symbol of power. Only the 7 strongest guilds in the whole server are able to own and maintain one.

-A guild that owns a dojo is able to seed 1 member in solo budokai. This allows that member to completely skip the preliminary round.

My guild doesn't want to fight.

Thats perfectly fine, participating in this event is completely optional and is not mandatory for the challenging guild. However, if you guild already owns a dojo you ARE forced to fight every week until you lose the dojo. If you aren't prepared then chances are you will lose your dojo if the attacking team is better prepared.

My guild conquered a dojo, can we apply for a second one?

No. A guild is limited to only owning one dojo. This is to ensure fairness and to prevent the system from being abused.

How long does my guild have to apply? Whats the duration of the event?

The duration of the event is 2 hours long starting at 6:00PM CEST. Your guild will have 2 hours every sunday to apply.

How To Apply (Issue A Challenge) For A Dojo:

Step 1: The Dojo scramble event must be active for your guild leader to apply. If the event is not active your guild will not be able to apply. To know when the event is active, the following icon will appear in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, indicating that you can now apply for a dojo:

Step 2: Once the event is active, proceed to the Dojo Manager (located outside the dojo you wish to apply for)

Step 3: Click on the Dojo manager. Once you have done that, it will take you to the below screen. Click on Dojo Info.

Step 4: You will then proceed to the Dojo Infomation Screen. Click on the Battle Tab

Step 5: Once in the Battle Tab, click on apply under Scramble section:

Step 6: Your guild leader will need to pay a fee of 1,000,000 zeni (1KK) in order to challenge the dojo. Be sure to apply only if you are willing to pay the zeni. Click OK.

Step 7: If successful your guild will be notified and you will go into the standby phase ready to fight.

    Basic Objectives:

Attacking guild (The guild that issued the challenge):

Objective: Their objective is to try conquer and steal the dojo from the defending guild.

Spawn Location: The main entrance (south section) of the dojo.

    Outcome of the fight:

WIN: If successful as soon as the battle has finished the attacking guild will instantly own the dojo and the defending guild will be forced to leave and are instantly kicked out. Your guild will have to defend the dojo the following week.

LOSE: If the guild is unsuccessful then they will be forced to leave and will be teleported out. Better luck next time.

Defending guild (The guild that currently owns the dojo):
Objective: Their primary objective is to hold off and fend off the attacking guild so that they can secure and maintain their dojo. If successful the dojo will be theirs for another week and they will have to defend the dojo the following week.

Spawn Location: The defenders spawn location is located at the North section of the dojo.

    Outcome of the fight:

WIN: If the defenders are successful in the fight then they get to keep their dojo for another week.

LOSE: If unsuccessful your guild will instantly lose the dojo and you will then be without one. Your guild will be teleported and kicked out of the dojo as soon as the war has finished. If you want to reclaim the dojo you will have to issue a challenge the following week.

    Rules of the dojo war:

    • The primary objective of the war itself (regardless of what side you are on) is to capture the dragon seals.
    • There are 5 dragon seals (statues) located inside the dojo.
    • Capturing the dragon seals earns your guild points.
    • The more Dragon Seals you have captured the more points your guild will score.
    • First guild to 500 points wins.
    • Time limit of the dojo war is 60 minutes (1 hour)

    Extra information:

    • Killing players DOES NOT earn your guild points. The purpose of killing other players is to slow down the opposing guild. This is to prevent them from capturing seals and to slow them down from scoring more points.
    • Any player in the battle may capture a seal.
    • If no guild reaches 500 points in the 1 hour time limit, then the guild that scored the highest amount of points wins.
    • To capture a seal every player will be given a Seal controller (Green egg) item in their inventory. Use this item to capture the Dragon Seals.
    • The spawn location for both sides will always remain the same throughout the fight.
    • If any player is caught bugging underneath the map they will be banned by the DBO G staff and disconnected from the war.

    Planning and strategy:

Before entering a dojo war, it is recommended that every guild should devise a plan/strategy:

    • It is recommended that a guild sends its strongest members to participate in the war. Some guilds are compromised of level 70 players only, and if your guild does not consist of level 10 or more level 70 players then its going to be difficult.
    • Try to send a variety of different classes. A guild filled with just Swordsmen and Fighters will struggle against a guild that is made up of a mix of races/classes. The ideal guild will have a variety of classes at their disposal. A perfect balance of AOE, healers, buffers, tanks and DPS will increase your chances of capturing/securing a dojo and is beneficial.
    • Before the War begins, just after your guild is teleported into the dojo to fight, there is a waiting period. Be sure to buff yourself and your guild in order to prepare for the fight.
    • As this is a PVP event, gear is important. Try to gear up for your best chance of winning.
    • Try to send the maximum of 30 players. The more players you have the chance of capturing/securing the dojo you have.

I hope this guide will answer the majority of questions/queries for any veteran/new player to Dragon Ball Online.

The DBO G Staff will be monitoring every war to ensure fairness between every guild. Please note that the rules can be subject to change at any time by the DBO G Staff, as this is only the pre open beta stage. I will also update the guide containing more information. Please do not copy this guide without my permission. Feel free to link and share this guide.

I think its still possible to run a tournament for the parties that did register. Just instead of making it a traditional knockout tournament, make it a free for all tournament at platform. Kind of similar rules to how the current arc in dragonball super.

So the tournament would run like this:

    • Team A, Team B and Team C all enter on the platform on an empty channel
    • Aru counts down when to start attacking eachother and then the teams can begin to start to fight
    • The last remaining team wins

    Some other rules:

-If a player is knocked out of the arena or dashes out, they are disqualified and cannot walk back in.

-If a player is killed they also cannot enter the arena.

-If an outside party or player interferes with the tournament they will be banned and the tournament is be restarted.

-To make things fair every player will start without buffs in the platform

-To keep things simple the members of each team must represent only 1 guild, this way it will be easy to follow who is the clear winner.

-Judges are posted on all different sides of the arena so they can have a clear view on all sides of the platform.

Maybe my idea is terrible but it's the only viable way I can see a tournament with limited teams work. Alternatively, we extend the sign up period and give teams longer time to register (so we acquire more teams) , and make them sign up substitute members so if all 5 members cannot make it they at least will have some fill in members to represent the team.

I really do appreciate the amount of effort Aru puts into organizing these events, and it's a shame that sometimes they cannot take off due to lack of participants. I guess if organizing tournaments might be too difficult it would be just easier to wait for budokai to be implemented.

well ive been here since december 2014.still waiting.

You say that as if DBO G has not made any progression at all. The game was in a completely different state 3 years ago. Yes Open Beta was announced a few years ago, but it was never announced when it would come. Players just assumed it would be right around the corner, which isn't the case.

I always see members ask "when is the release date of open beta" on a daily basis. When the answer is, the pre open beta server still has a fair few features to be implemented and fixed and open beta is not going to be released until all of those features are functional as the retail server.

The server in it's current state isn't open beta worthy. I can't stress this point enough to members of the community.

People sell and buy accounts all the time, they almost never get the ban hammer.

We always do take the appropriate action necessary if a player violates our code of conduct. If anyone catches a member of the community who is clearly breaking these rules, feel free to report the player to the help desk as mentioned above. Make sure to take a screenshot also to provide clear evidence of violating the rules and we will deal with the situation.

But you know, I am just afraid of losing alot of time for nothing. Like I said I don't like that accounts will be deleted someday and that I will have to grind twice to get back where I was.
It's ridiculous from my perspective of view. But I think it's alright just to get a feeling of what we are doing at the moment ingame.

It's not for nothing. You should look at it from the perspective of contributing. Contributing to help restore the game we all use to love back to it's former glory. Every person that players pre open beta we are grateful towards because all the players in the community help in the following ways:

    • Discovering bugs. The more players that help us pinpoint bugs the faster open beta can be released.
    • Donating. This helps support the server and keeps it up and running.

The only reason why the server is going to be wiped is so everyone can start on a clean slate, on a fresh functioning version of Dragon Ball online, and the items that were obtained through exploiting bugs will be wiped so it makes it fair for everyone.

But at the end of the day, participation is only voluntary. If a player chooses to help participate in the pre open beta stage, it is entirely up to them.

If you are recieving the error where it says your character is already connected a solution is to go onto task manager and end all processes that relates to DBO G.
