I'm thinking about creating a swordsman instead of fighter, don't know which would win on PvP though, that's why I'm quite unsure. I don't want to waste all my resources on a class that'll probably get nerfed or won't have any change at all.

Couldn't agree more with this post, there's just something bad about it. The post is heavily fictitious, this might change though, after all this is just like the boxes, heavily luck based.
I do believe this though, there SHOULD be (not necessarily easier way to obtain the boxes) but definitely a faster way to get them, and of course, more accesible for us veteran and newer players.
I can't say if the options you wrote down are just what us players need, but I'm sure of this: The brown boxes obtainment has to change, probably by reducing the gold coin amount or the zeni amount, perhaps even implementing it on TMQs or UDs (to make them something actually relevant to gameplay). When it comes to this topic there's lots of options, my point here is Mods definitely have on work on this, perhaps sooner than they might think. (OB)

I would main Turtle if rp/def book wasn't just for females, such a stupid thing to have good effect only for females, it just feels wrong to me to play a female, lol.
Either way, no matter what i pick, it will be something that is actually strong, unlike Crane/DW which i played in pre-beta for fun

Forum ain't dead.
This is the fact.
There are tons of players that do not even make post here, but sure they check around to see what is going around.
Most of players, or members of community, use discord too.
Maybe in future this forum does get app ofc, but since there is soo much stuff to do now, you will need to be patient and wait for it to happen.
It would be cool to have, I agree.
Finally a good comment that is straight forward. Yea, I agree with you.
Actually I was pointing out how I would love to be in charge of the app development, I study as a programmer (I mean Mechatronics Engineering) but yea I know how to do the work thanks to other experiencies.

The idea here is not to discover the game through the app man (nobody downloads forum apps to "play" that is just retarded) there is a job called advertisement for that. You must've heard from the game before or be playing it at the very moment, this is just a tool that facilitates the forum use therefore, the trading and all that.
Remember I said this won't be only the forum app, this app is also the wikia of the game(which I haven't seen anywhere) and THIS is the part I believe to be the one facilitating new players into the game.

Pretty much the fact you went inside this post to investigate what I had to say about the topic. Also, I'm not trying to keep all of the old players (retired), some of them are long gone man, eversince TW or KR. I'm trying to find a way to introduce more numbers to the game.

I dont think people won't use it, now a days everyone has a smartphone. People inside DBO use forums, have cellphones, I mean... even you use the forums, and unless you don't like being connected or are a social outlaw then you use a cellphone.
Trying to be nice and contributing to the cause here, if you consider that a waste of time well... that's your opinion only man, just as mine is only an opinion.

I don't disagree with the fact that every cent helps the developers, specially with things like this. Trust me, I don't want nothing else but to help the people behind my happiness for the last year.
My point here is, and also the context I was talking about is that this is a way to introduce new players to the community, in a way, easier. There's no way a game can hold with an old player base, you have to create tools to invite new players inside the game. These players also contribute to donations eventually etc. so yea, I don't believe that this app should be paid.
With that said, I'd like to be behind the creation of this tool for the forums.

Hi,
Crane is by far better for PvE, as it has a very key debuff which is -33%LP, that alone, makes them the highest "dmg" PvE class;
On the other hand, Fighters are pure garbage and probably the most useless PvE class, and their irony is that they don't fit in any party, because of their damages being much higher than other classes, thus, taking aggro easily, f*cking up the plan, and end up being a burden that you need to work around~
As for PvP, Crane is probably the highest skill-cap class in DBO, that is because, unlike Turtle which are also very high skill-cap, they do NOT have means of safety, like an instant stun, etc...
And on top of that like ash said, they even got nerfed last year
. (But they will be strong again in Beta !)Also, they are among the most expensive classes, because if you take mine, i had dex/con/foc sets of armors, both Physical AND Energy defense, dodge rate sub, crit rate sub (which i would trade for crit % actually and just wreck with Focus), accessories CON/FOC/DEX/COOLDOWN/RESISTANCE/SUCCESS/ etc...
While on the other hand as a fighter, just look at my boy Kiriha (he's probably the best fighter here tho among with CeStory), he got very close to 1st place against a full +15 SK with bugged dogi stats, with just +9~10 armors DEX/CON, +6 gloves, and a +13 stick;
And they take practically no skill, they are heavily luck based.

So, in short;
Crane for PvE, Fighter for PvP
Can't write the answer into better words. Fighter is always the choice if you want to have fun and just do budokai :D. If you're looking to do dungeons, kraken, BID or stuff like that then... well... they're good for budokai

Lol. Yea. I'm not a crane user but I know people that are very much into cranes with the same complaints.

They got nerfed a while back, ever since the crane class has been extinct. To my knowledge they nerfed the infamous "1k slash" that everyone (not crane users of course xD) complained about, also DoT is crap.
Turtle is superior in almost every aspect so, just as you'd expect, people don't buy a bad version of something that has a better version in existance, for the same cost.

The game is currently overpopulated by fighters, I just certainly didn't expect people to go turtle. I guess you can still find surprises these days ?
Besides the point, I guess I want to do turtle as well, for reasons like Zeni and grinding my other characters. I'm thinking about Dark Warrior as well, they are immortal PvE tanks and make leveling 54-60 3azy p3azy (talking about other character of course.)
