Turtles DOT skills

Turtles aren't designed to be a DoT class. they're more of a glass cannon, The small DoT they have in the turtle skill tree is just for a tiny bit of extra damage should you think you need or want it.
If you're looking for decent DoT you should pick Crane Hermit.

turtle isn't for DOTs, if u want use DOTs pick a crane hermit

well tbh abu everyone is talkin the truth if u prefer dots be a crane. not to say turtles dots aren't usefull just they don't last long.
with maxed increased persistent damage your turtle rod impale goes from 309 lp per 2 seconds to 377 lp per 2 seconds.
the max damage of this dot is 377*5=1885 lp + the base damage (physical attack * 3.56). honestly when I use my turtle I don't have this maxed but that being said I do use this move if I can before using sleep then at least some damage is being done while the target cant move.
this dot doesn't last long that what sucks. and its no where near as powerful as bold strike.
my recommendation is not to maxed either skill .but I created a build that does have turtle rod impale and persist damage maxed if u want to use it. its more toward a hybrid build since it has kds for days check it out turtle build with dots hope it helps,

The difference Turtle and Crane is their own playstyle and output of damage, hence the two classes, not a balanced single class that you can modify whatever you want it to be.
Turtles are mainly focused on dealing single time big damage, such as Kamehames, or even Scatter Shot in the matter. Turtles use skills that has a negative buff [debuff] on the enemy / mob, to make them lose defense / speed / defrate / and manage to cause even more damage.
Cranes on the other hand are the ones that puts insane bleeds, burn on the enemy, and their freeze skill nearly guarantees the win on that matter.
I'd suggest to to remake your turtle build if you relied on Turtle DoT skills, otherwise it will not be effective.
