I'm taking my time leveling my new character and one way I felt was good to pass the time was to quest in South Mushroom map (aka red map). I'm curious though about how some of you handled it back in retail DBO when the level cap was 55. Did you do the whole map? Did you skip? Share your experiences.
South Mushroom Map: what was it like?

I did everything, it was a good time killer and questing was fun for me. Probably won't do the same in OB tho.

Back then I never got past level 40, because I hated the grind lol. I just played the game casually on both servers, but I've heard that the grind was comparable to that of 60-70 in Global's current State.

Well I guess the bonus here is the stone drop rate being so good. Makes me love the increase we got a little bit ago.

From what I've heard during the level 55 cap players couldn't fly, and since the day system was active their fuels, and mounts expired. Unless you cashed of course.
And since the mushroom rock south quests were so terrible the developers added fearland to help players level. But yeah it's terrible on global, but was much worse in in TW/HK since you had to walk.

in the old times you can easy skip red map by doing tmq4 runs from lvl 47-53 and then do fear island quests from lvl 53-55 then you can go dark namek map

Yeah I noticed most of the quests are "go from one NPC to another." Also noticed that every quest chain has a level 51 requirement. Must have inspired Papaya to follow suit.
