UD's and TMQ'S are in, soon the CCBD and BID's are to follow, So I gotta ask what's your ideal party, The "Dream Team" if you will.
Hopefully by now as a high level player you understand the components of an ideal party
1 DPS + 1 AoE +1 Tank + 1 Healer +1 Buffer.
There are variations on what belongs where but the general gist is simple. 5 players with a unique set of skills that complement each other in perfect synergy to reach and efficient goal with little no casualties. In other words, Team work makes a dream work
DPS
I like the versatility and speed of the fighter class. Decent AoE, Phenomenal Crit, can strike hard and fast. and can even stun those annoying ass bosses. What's not to love about these guys when they basically have it all?
My second is rare one but, when they show up it's pretty fun.
Karma's are probs the ultimate trolls. CC is their middle name and agaist bosses they're a godsend. Their buffs aren't too shabby either and can actually change the course of a party for the better, I haven't seen any damage from these guys that REALLY catches my eye but feel free to correct me.
One of my personal faves are swordsman, not as versatility as a fighter, but still these guys aren't push overs. They excel at one on one, being able to throw out damaging attacks at the drop of a hat, make boss killing a lot faster, they lack versatility and kind of end feeling like a one trick pony but that one trick can pretty valuable.
Last, and probs the least are cranes. Now I'm not saying these gus are useless but come they're up against some preeeeetty stiff competition. People sleep on these guys so I haven't had too many parties with them but trust me they're pretty good. They're DoT's weaken the enemy at a pretty brutal and fast rate, they have acceptable AoE, and pretty good crowd control. So yeah it might seem unorthodox but I wouldn't turn my nose up at one if I had the space
AoE
Everyone's favorite AoE is probs the Turtle Hermit himself. And being a proud owner of one.... I can see why. Immense AoE options with Godly damage when crits come into play. Their attacks can be a little slow and might take a bit to recharge but trust me anyone will tell you these guys are a force to be reckoned with. Personal fave is the kienretsuzan(or the disk barrage for all you filthy casuals), great DMG when maxed, great AoE, Quick and shuts down skills. Come on dude, perfect move.
I kinda don't much about Plasma sooooo forgive me? Idk from what I've hear they can basically deal as much wanton destruction as turtles but with less CD. I've seen some pretty cool supporting moves out them too like an anti stun buff(and like come on who doesn't want that?), and an AoE confuse. Yeah sorry that's about all I got
Tanks
Everyone's go to for a tank is usually a Shadow Knight, can't say i blame them. Perfect combination of damage and defense and were pretty much feared back in Retail DBO. Claim to fine is usually their bold strike.. pretty weak atm but at it's prime could one shot any one in PvP and deal some pretty decent damage to a boss. Deception is a pretty awesome debuff when going against a horde of mobs. Usual combo is to draw aggro and thenuse this round them all up so that, usually combo into an AoE stun, followed by the nukers in the party landing the finishing blow. These guys are an amazing help, you'll always be lucky to have one. Altho the next one isn't too shabby either
Dark Warriors are kind of overlooked sometimes but, they're always a joy to have(one of my best friends is a DW and amazing tank so this goes out to him ). These guys are masters at hogging aggro, sure they don't have deception, but they have a nice attack called Energy Seige. It's animation is kind of just a glorified Hellzone Grenade but lemme tell ya the range and AoE is just something else. These guys pull mobs, damage them all at once so the turtle doesn't feel lonely and call it a day. In other words, great defense, great AoE, Quality CC. These guys are legit.
Healers
Without a doubt the MVP in any high level party worth a damn are Dendes. Early on you can get away with replacing them with maybe any(high level)DPS class, but once you step into the big leagues( for Pve I Guess this would be anything as hard as UD4 and up?) these guys are required if you wanna clear with any sort of smooth landing. Finding a high level healer can be pretty tough, but trust me saying they're helpful is an understatement. You can go from one foot in the grave to feeling better than ever in an instant. Taxing moves like kaioken and SSJ might as well be free buffs. They can res without the use of any popo candy or item, and have pretty awesome cures for any bother debuffs. Only issue here is basically how necessary they are. If the healer dies, that safe feeling you just had goes along with it, and can spell the end of a party in some cases. Healer aggro doesn't happen too too much but it can be a real pain too. Also remember THESE ARE PEOPLE TOO, so any technical or IRL issues they have could get in the way... also be nice to your party members c'mon. Anyway there's jut something about that green cross in the party roster just gives me a nice feeling of security.
Pokos are kind of weird since they're not really healers... At least not primarily. I do find them interesting for sure but... idk. Well in the past they could summon dragons tht had a lot of health and did a good job tanking bosses. They've got some interesting a helpful buffs, and depending on the build might have some useful heals as well. These guys are legit in Attack speed parties but for all their talents there's just that any one thing thy can do that's exceptional for me to call them substitutes for anythng, except maybe a minor healer in some UD3 Run. Someone defend Pokos for me plz
Buffers
Ultimate Majins are pretty great at supporting parties with their buff needs. These guys can boost your attack and defense stats to amazing heights and hlp you out in the long run. They're pretty good against single targets so they're also valuable DPS. They've got good health and defense as well so they can be a makeshift tank against bosses. But I wouldn't hold my breath until they're little pirouette technique gets fixed.
Grand Chefs Majins are pretty rare to see and I have no idea why tbh. They make better tanks than the former because of sizable AoE, have pretty good CC in the form of their candy beam, and have pretty good buffs. Also spirit drained is bugged so it basically reduces boss EP to 0, which trolls the living hell out of them trust me try doing TMQ7 w/ it. IT'S HILARIOUS! So yeah these guy are legit
Assuming you read that ridiculous wall, what are some of your ideal parties? Would you make any alterations or subs?
Also feel free to tell me where I went wrong
This took a lot of time and right now I'm tired
