DBO Resource Tool Help

  • Someone on this board gave me a mod I wish to use, but I am completely ignorant on how modding work, I was told to download this tool, but every time I use it on the paks I get an error. Is there something I am doing wrong? this error looks like this.

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    </configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  • I am not a modder but it says you need to enable just in time debugging.

there is a option on tool bar in C# saying : Debug > then Option

can you try give a screenshot of it as you find the Option to enable.

then go into Solution explorer and find app.config and double click on it, then type in under configuration : <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    forum.dboglobal.to/wsc/index.php?attachment/1570/

  • you should use tool on header

    example: tex.pak

file like tex0.pak, tex1.pak ...and so on, are not header

  • Alright so I dont have the error anymore, but I still dont know how to install it. hls_cos_54_h_f_jacket_1 is the code for the mod, but I see like 5 different versions on the Resource tool what do I need to do now?

    hls_cos_54_h_f_jacket_<--
Since you're new to this i will explain briefly how the name for a file is build.

-hls: Don't know what this stands for but it is something you can wear.

-cos: Indicates it is a costume you can wear. There is also hls_cap or hls_bak which stand for cap (lol) or backpack.

-54: The number of the item.

-h: Stand for Human. There is also m for Majin and n for Namekian.

-f: Stands for Female. M stands for Male.

-jacket: Should be obvious enough. There are also files that have pants or glove instead of jacket.

-1: Sometimes a piece of cloth has seperate parts. For example, the cowboy costume's jacket was build using 2 meshes. The first one being the jacket and the second one being the scarf. 1 stands for the jacket and 2 stands for the scarf.

    -----------------------------------

I hope i cleared some things up for you. If you still got questions feel free to post them here.

  • Alright so back to it, on the main DBO files from the resource tool I see

    hls_cos_54_n_os1.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os2.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os3.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os4.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os5.dff

on the files this modder gave me was

    hls_cos_54_h_f_jacket_1

    hls_cos_54_h_m_jacket_1

    hls_cos_54_h_m_jacket_2

    hls_cos_54_h_m_pants

    hls_cos_54_m_m_jacket_2

I am using a female character so I can careless on the males. what am I suppose to do?

  • Skip all of these.

    hls_cos_54_n_os1.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os2.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os3.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os4.dff

    hls_cos_54_n_os5.dff

These are for namekians. Find the ones that are named exactly like the ones you got from the modder and replace them. So these

    hls_cos_54_h_f_jacket_1

    hls_cos_54_h_m_jacket_1

    hls_cos_54_h_m_jacket_2

    hls_cos_54_h_m_pants

    hls_cos_54_m_m_jacket_2

  • What folder are they in?

  • Wait i just re read your post and lmfao you are off by a mile. .dff are models which are in Obj.pak. You need to be in Tex.pak. Then go to the directory texture/item and find the files that have the same name as the ones you have. (modded ones)

Oh well that makes alot of sense. Anyways I "think" I got it modded but it seems kinda off. not sure if if it should go this way or not. I wanted the sleeves black.
