I am a lvl 30 martial artist and when I visit the npc to reset my skills it tells me i will recover my sp and it will cost me 15500 zeni. When I click to reset and confirm it gives me an error in chat "Unknown Error #G" . I purchased cash shop coins earlier and spent on fashion just to feel Im being forced now to purchase more to reset my skills because of an ingame bug. Is there and work around for this that someone has found that will help me reset without having to invest more money into the game right now as I spent what i can at the present moment and unable to dip into emergency funds.
Resetting skills

Just found out ingame that because I completed my master quest I cant do it any more through npc. Would have been nice for a warning some where ingame telling you that you have to reset before master quest. I definitly lost all interested in regards to investing any more money into this game.

You should've researched before you went in blindly and then asked questions about what seems to not work!
Skill Reset threads are all over the place
I am sorry that you can't reset your skills, but you should've known better :I
-
you are right. playing for 2 days i should have known better because when i looked at the npc to see when i can reset my skills.. what lvl it it allows me to reset up to , lvl 30 and bellow it tells me (doesnt state unable to use when lvl 30 if you completed your mastery quest) .. im prompted to check forums because im supposed to know that im not able to reset skills when it clearly states lvl 30 and bellow.
ive been playing for 2 days... made this forum account just to post this issue.. i dont sit on forums all day reading or looking through stuff because thats what im payed and invested to use my free time on.
you dont have to be a dick "you should have known better" what a joke
-
I am not being a dick...it's obvious I am not!
You should do research before playing a game!
Saying this is like saying "I want to play WoW because my friend told me it's good!"
You need to research the game and see if it's something that's your type of game! You aren't going to go into a game that's "under-development" and not go to the updates of the game!
Sorry if right now I sounds like a dick, but that's your issue!
The issue isn't in the game, the issue is that you PAY for something you don't even research for nor do you care about! -

you expect people to go onto forums and read up everything about a game including skill resets when they just start playing a game.. you take games a little to serious if thats what you do every game you have ever played or tried.

Problem is that you PAY for it!
If you have enough money to waste on something you know little-to-nothing about, you're truly TROLLING yourself! My point at the start wasn't to argue with you or tell you "You're Dumb".
I am just telling you, if you're gonna ever do that again, you need to actually know what you're paying for! That's like buying a beverage at the store without knowing if it's beer or soda!

YES. it's an MMO. You actually NEED to spend time reading how the game works and what happens in regards to updates and such.
It's not like console game where it comes with a manual. you need to read up and learn.
What's also interesting is that inside of the game it actually does tel you that you can't reset your skills after a certain point too.
The developers pinned official upgrade thread even made it easier for people to find this information. and specifically made it so you can reset your skills at any level as long as you don't have the MC yet.
Quit crying about something because you didn't know and now want your own way. Others try it and don't get it so neither will you. If you're so distraught by it i suggest waiting until the bugs are fixed and all content works and play again when the wipe happens. if not it literally takes around 4 - 12 hours of game-play to hit lvl 30 so it's hardly the hardest thing to do.
it's not taking a game "too seriously" to go onto the forums to learn what you need to do when the entire game is in Chinese. (not that it matters either as years ago we all managed with 0% English since we worked together!)
Now. rant over. You aren't getting a reset. no one is forcing you to buy anything, you donated to keep the server alive (and thank you for that) the CP is just a bonus. It takes hardly any time to get to 30 and now you've learned that you should actually read up on stuff. for instance you probably don't know that you can't use your HTB yet that you gained when you leveled up as it's not coded in yer,
I could write so many paragraphs as to what you need to know so you wouldn't have to 'waste your time' and look at the forums for it but then everyone else who wants to play properly does so you should too. Plus people learn their lessons by failure, and you failed to understand that aspect. now you know you'll not do it again.
your responses make me laugh.

thanks for being a complete asshole buddy. this community is a joke because instead of offering some sort of help you insult someone for simply not understanding or knowing
but thank you all for your rude responses. It doesnt matter to me at this point as im done with the game. Was fun while it lasted and best of luck with your game.
-
I'd like you to in point where i "insulted" as i'm certain i didn't.
My points stand. i'm almost certain like many others you're jumping from PC or console games to an online MMO. The way you learn and play are different here. No TV adverts, no game manual, and no website.. oh wait you're on it now!
Yes the information you need is here. It even says on the registry website that you should come here for game info. And again NPC inside of the game warned ou of this too. you just can't read it because the game is in testing and is still largely in Chinese.
The point very well made be B4 is this "you need to actually know what you're paying for!" correct me if i'm wrong but did or did you not just donate straight up before coming on the forums. Well i'll save you the trouble. "made this forum account just to post this issue.. "
No one here is insulting you. you're likely taking it that way because you've realised you made a mistake and now have to live with it (or suck it up and make a new dude or continue on as normal)
We don't expect you to go on the forums for any more than maybe 5 minutes a day if that! the most important thread you need to read is the official Global Update Thread (link in my signature) once you log in. if it's not updated you pay with the same knowledge as when you read it last and continue. If it's been updated you can then play with new knowledge of what works and what doesn't or you search for however long you desire to learn more and then play. UP TO YOU. you made the mistake here. and you live with what you've done. You aren't going to get a free anything as no one dies. sorry bu that's how it works.
thanks for being a complete asshole buddy. this community is a joke because instead of offering some sort of help you insult someone for simply not understanding or knowing

Can you trade or transfer cash shop costumes once equiped or do I have to leave those behind
-
you can trade them via the trade menu, sell via Vendor, Mail them or auction house them.
Except from the Goku Ki dogi you get for tokens in the token shop. if you need help i can offer to hold onto it and pass things to your new character if you are unable to run dual client?

People get scammed daily , i appretiate the offer but ill just find an alternative way to do so instead of having people i dont know hold my things
-
That's understandable. I'd offer to record my screen so that you can see what i take/get from you. or you could do the same so there's no confusion. Should you need help Feel free to PM me on the forums or whisper me in-game
Mainly playing on my Crane "Cosmo2" at the moment so whisper me on that one i-game

Lol you guys are being dicks. He clearly said "The NPC states level 30 and below and it doesnt state that you cannot reset skills after doing mastery quest" Therefore its a missing description/bug in-game and there should be a fix or compensation.

1) OP got his answer so the thread could be actually over: stuff like this happen all the time and it's because it's a test server of an incomplete game that is going to get a server wipe. I'm sorry you couldn't reset your skills but I can guarantee you that many have gone through this and that doesn't limit their first game experience. If this is your first time playing dbo I suggest you try many classes and don't focus on one to master/dedicate too much time in, because the progress will be deleted.
As I've said many times in different threads: you are a tester first, then a player (in the context of Pre Open Beta Server).
2) @B4.DA.$$ and @Cosmo, even though most of what you wrote is "correct", I understand this isn't the most pleasant way to find out about this - thus understanding OP's reaction - and definitely rereading your comments doesn't make it any better. Informing is enough.
3) @Contractz: I also suggest you read the forums. Ofc do not sit all day there, but I can guarantee that using a little % of time to read about an Under-development and unfinished private MMO server revival that you are trying for the first time isn't wasting your time. If you want to transfer your items to another character of yours I suggest you either mail it (if the characters are on the same account) or just dual client and trade to your new character (if the characters are on different accounts).4) @Danuvius: Stuff like this (and more important stuff like missing pricy items because of AH bugs like its happened before) is bound to happen and it is part of what you should understand you are going for when playing in this pre open beta server. There will be no compensation otherwise we would spend more time compensating all the players rather than developing the game.

Its a lesson learnt on my behalf i guess. I started a new character and lvling it today thanks for all the help minus the added spice.
I have spent the last 2 hours reading bug reports between quests to make sure that these sort of things dont happen to me again!
-
You can go to the global update thread to make sure you're using the right stuff
I recommend you either start with a Crane Hermit, Ultimate Majin, or Dark Warrior. They are just easy and fun to play.

FYI. not that it should matter to anyone, but from my last comment with the OP. we spoke in PM and i have been helping him in-game.
We both apologised and understood some misunderstandings.
i have helped him move his bought items to his new character, he now has a build and links to threads explaining skills and such as he has also been put on friend lists and such should he need further help another time.
He's chosen to play as a martial artist this time round and has a few builds for both Fighter and Swordsman.
