hi all, just wanting to get a basic knowledge of classes, but is martial artist or the spiritualist class in a better spot? I'm aware its pre beta and changes are to come
Best Human class?

It depends entirely on what you want to do in the game.
Typically martial artists are PvP as they are close range 1v1 characters with few AoE attacks but with hybrid builds they can also be effective PvE players.
The spiritualists are heavily PvE as they have AoE attacks. The turtle excels in large and powerful AoE but with higher cool downs on the skills and the Crane focuses on DoT skills most of which are also AoE. but both spiritualist classes can easily be PvP given the right build.

what about the Namekian classes? shadow knight and the other? I know one is a tank, and not sure what other does. and as for dragon clan I know they are healers
-
If you like being wanted in PvE teams, be fairly decent at solo PvP and fantastic at group PvP, then you'll really want a Turtle Hermit! That said, I hear Cranes have gotten good boosts recently too, so they might be worth a shot.

cranes are great in pve since the calculation of dots have been changed. its close to turtle in pve might be better if u have +10 or higher gear

both are tanks dark warrior is a super tank geared towards pve you wont die
shadow knight (axe) is a tank that can dish out damage as well great for both pvp and pve but in pve they are less tankish compared to dark warrior -
and which is better? fighter or swordsman?
-
I always preferred Fighter over Swordsman due to Dodge which helps a lot to survive. Swordsman is just a one hit wonder

Lmao

It depends a lot tbh but the crane is awesome.
-
so for PVE spiritualist is better than Martial artist, and turtle and crane are neck and neck?

in pve they are great in pvp it varies cranes can have a hard time against karmas and turtles (sometimes depends if there smart) but other than that stick and swords are easy pickings warrioir nameks if there gear atk is similar to your def should not be a problem, even with broken thousand slashes.
my biggest problem with pvp right now is that ppl bugged there gear to +15 and i run into them in rank matches which makes it almost inpossible. mind ya i did manage to beat a ful +15 sowrd user but thats because he wasnt very smart and resorted to pillar hiding when he realized my timing was better with my speed restrain bu tstill the run of the mill player with bugged +15 gear will stomp me and i have +8 gear

PVP is harder without dodge rate working how it used to be back in TW, You need to wait for it, because with dodge(like TW) the fights are too unpredictable, so you can get more time and then try to kill those +15 .

Any and all fights are unpredictable as anyone can run anything on their builds along with anything that can appear on the armour pieces
I say have a go at it at the different stages of development. it'll be fun trying to figure out ways to win

Agree with you

human fighter the best .... namekian tank the best player pvp
-
That's up for debate. The most common winner of solo budokai was a female turtle.
I've seen cranes, karma, ultimate, fighter and swordsmen beat shadow knights in TW. All depends on gear and tact.

Here's the thing about humans...They are expensive to gear!
So if you don't have LOADS of money, you wont get far, except with Crane.
Crane atm with the DoT Power they got they can load mobs with 3 DoTs and everything will die because the damage is really high (A crane friend of mine tested the dmg on different levels and came with these calculations as AVERAGES:
(These tests are done with attacks like Fiery Shot, Dodon Ray, and Crane Cyclone.... AND the tests are done to mobs of the same level)
Lvl 30: 1 DoT = 400 Damage (Weapons aren't upgraded to the fullest potential, because that wouldn't be an experience of a "new" player)
Lvl 40: 1 DoT = 450 Damage (You can't get Ustones with tokens and you meet loads of robots with higher DEF, so DMG stays neutral kinda)
Lvl 50: 1 DoT = 550-600 Damage (Less mobs with VERY HIGH health, most mobs average a 5k hp base, damage to robots is a little lower)
Lvl 60: 1 DoT = 650-750 Damage (You'll find weapons harder to upgrade, but your damage still captures a lot of EXP and Zeni, so you can get more and more eventually!)
Lvl 65-70: 1 DoT = 1K (This is very dependent on the upgrade of coarse (The difference is pretty big!))ALL LEVELS ARE DEPENDENT ON THE UPGRADES!
ATM they have 2 Weapons... one +0 and one +9
Took an average of 4 weeks to FULLY SOLO with a Crane!
To a new player, I think most people will find Cranes much easier to play and level up.
Please do not tell me "I am level 30 and my attacks only do 230 Damage!" or "I am a lvl 56 Crane and I can do over 1K with my DoTs!".
You WILL get more or less damage because you have: 1- Different stats and 2- Different Upgrades with your Weapons... AND 3- A different build! So, again, if you want to make a character that can farm easily and can get you money to make future Characters with, use a Crane as a start! It's pretty nice!
If money is not a problem, then you can make anything really! But if I would recommend something, it'd be a female Turtle, those are VERY WORTH the investment!
