[English] Dragon Ball Scramble Information Thread (Guide/FAQ)

  • Greetings to all members of the DBO G community,

The purpose of this guide will be to explain to all players in the community how/what exactly Dragon Ball Scramble is, the difference between Dragon Ball Scramble and regular Dragon ball hunting what exactly is important about the event and why players should engage in this event.

Frequently asked questions about Dragon Ball Scramble:

    What is Dragon Ball Scramble?

Dragonball scramble is a channel PVP event that takes place on channel 0, where everyone who is eligible can participate as long as they meet the level requirement (Level 45+).

What is the Objective (Goal) of Dragon Ball Scramble?

During the event, there are ONLY 7 dragon balls (also known as tier 3 dragon balls) that are scattered across all over the Dragon Ball Online world map which can be collected. If someone has already picked up a dragon ball, then you have to kill them in order to obtain the dragon ball that they have collected. Only one person who obtains all 7 dragon balls may make a wish, and no one else.

What is the scheduled time for this event?

Please visit this link to view the schedule: https://dboglobal.to/events

Note: This schedule can be subject to change by the DBO G Staff at any time.

What is the difference between the Dragon Ball Scramble Dragonballs (Tier 3) the normal Dragon Balls (Tier 2), and the Quest Dragon Balls (Tier 1)?

    • Quest Dragon Balls (Tier 1) - These Dragon balls are only obtained through quests and only give level 20 amour with some zeni. You cannot make a wish for anything else.
    • Event Dragon Balls (Tier 2) - These Dragon balls can only be obtained through the Dragon Ball hunt event that occurs on weekends. You can wish for gear, zeni, dragon buffs and transformations (SSJ, Great Namek and Kid Buu)
    • Scramble Dragon Balls (Tier 3) - These are considered the best dragon balls in the game because not only do they grant all the available wishes that the tier 2 dragon balls grant, but they also give players the opportunity to gain different (stronger) weapons and accessories.

Can I combine dragon balls from different tiers?

No. You cannot combine Dragon Balls from different tiers. If you want to make a wish for scramble to you will need to collect all 7 (tier 3) dragon balls.

How long is the duration of the Dragon Ball Scramble event?

The event is 2 hours long (lasts 120 minutes).

A player killed me and stole my Dragon Ball(s)! How do I take it back?

In order to reclaim your Dragon ball(s) that was stolen from you, you must kill and defeat the current holder of the Dragon Balls.

What is the level requirement for Dragon Ball Scramble? Can anyone enter?

As mentioned above, the level requirement to enter Dragon Ball Scramble is for players who are only levels 45+. Lower level players will not be allowed to enter the event and must reach the level requirement in order to participate.

How do I make a wish?

In order to make a wish, you will need to bring all 7 dragon balls to one of the 5 available Dragon Ball Shrines (Alters).

    These are located in:

    • Kokkara Village (Yahoi West - Human Starter Zone)
    • Snail Village (Porunga Rocks North - Namekian Starter Zone)
    • Bee Village (Fran Fran Desert North - Majin Starter Zone)
    • Korin Forest (West of Korin Village)
    • Westland (West City Map)

How many wishes can be made in dragon ball scramble?

Only 1 player may be able to make 1 wish per dragon ball scramble event.

How many scramble wishes can a player make?

As mentioned above, a player can make 1 wish per scramble event, but the same player can make multiple wishes if they collect the scramble balls per event.

What are the available methods of transportation?

Flight is disabled, so the only way to move around the maps is by running/dashing, or by using your vehicle.

Where does this event take place on the world map?

Scramble Dragon Balls (Tier 3) can randomly spawn on any map, and fights can happen anywhere.

Note: Papaya Island and Fear Island are both excluded from this event. This is due to the islands both being isolated locations and not connecting to any of the other maps.

How to enter (join) Dragon Ball Scramble:

Step 1: In order to participate in dragon ball scramble, you must be on channel 0 when the event takes place. If you join any other channel, you will not be able to participate.

Step 2: Next, after you've logged onto channel 0 you will see the scramble icon on the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Click on the event icon:

Step 3: After you've clicked on the Dragon ball Scramble icon, the following prompt will appear on your screen. Click "App" (Apply) in order to participate:

Step 4: Once you've clicked on apply, another message will appear warning you that you are about to enter scramble and you will not be able to leave the event on channel 0 until the event ends:

Step 5: That's it! You are now ready to start hunting for dragon balls and able to attack/kill other players.

    Rules of Dragon Ball Scramble:

    • Only players who sign up and join the event may be able to participate and collect the dragon balls.
    • Flight is disabled.
    • The duration of the event lasts for 2 hours (120 minutes)
    • 1 wish can only be granted per dragon ball scramble event.
    • A player must have all 7 dragon balls in possession to make a wish
    • PVP and player killing is disabled in towns/cities (they are considered safe zones)
    • You cannot carry dragon balls through towns, dungeons or through water
    • If a player has dragon ball(s) in their possession, they cannot teleport with the ball (Instant transmission, party/guild summon, Yardrat teleport points, home teleport)

    Extra Information:

    • As this is a world PVP event, any player may kill or attack you, so participate at your own risk.
    • The dragon balls will always be randomly scattered across the world map, and each location might be different and change in every scramble event
    • You can be attacked anywhere in the available maps, and even at the alter/shrine while making your wish.
    • If any player is caught using exploits or bugs in order to gain them an unfair advantage over other players, or to prevent other players from making a wish, they will be banned by DBO G Staff and disconnected from the event. If you suspect any player to be cheating in any way, shape or form please feel free to create and submit a ticket to the help desk with attached screenshots/video evidence

    Tips on how to succeed:

    • Before the event begins, it is recommended that you buff yourself 1 - 2 minutes before hand so then if you encounter any player in the wilderness that opposes you, you will be ready for them.
    • For your chance of victory, try to team and cooperate with other players. Keep in mind you are not the only player who has the same objective, as everyone will be aiming to gather/collect the dragon balls that appear on the map so chances are you will be ambushed by other players while on the move.
    • Try to make effective use of communication (such as efficient use of party/guild chat), for planning, strategies and preparation.
    • As this is a PVP event, gear is important, so try to gear up for your best chance of winning.
    • Movement speed gear is really useful for this event, (many players would use movement speed boots to help get around the world map in DBO Taiwan).
    • It is recommended that you gather all of the map revealers before you and Yardrat teleport points so that you can see where you are headed and in order to arrive to your destination quickly.

I hope this guide will answer the majority of questions/queries for any veteran/new player to Dragon Ball Online about Dragon Ball Scramble.
The DBO G Staff will be monitoring every Scramble Event to ensure fairness between every participant. Please note that the rules can be subject to change at any time by the DBO G Staff, as this is only the pre open beta stage. I will also update the guide containing more information. Please do not copy this guide without my permission. Feel free to link and share this guide.

Good luck to all players and happy hunting!

  • Maybe change mondays time cuz nobody gonna be online at 12pm gmt +1 lol
