*Updated Nov 23 2018*ENGLISH GUIDE FOR A CRANE HERMIT

Personally i'd take Searing Crane and Fiery Shout down to 1 SP each as they both don't have much use outside of PvE. Even then Searing Crane takes 4 seconds to cast and then you have to wait for the animation. all that time the mobs will be attacking you. Not worth it in my opinion.
Fiery shout has decent Area and range but you'd really only use it to bring in mobs from afar that you don't want to risk getting hit when you run between them to gather into one group.
I would put the removed SP into Crane Cyclone to use along side Mystical Crane Typhoon. both do decent damage while inflicting good Bleed DoT.
Energy Heat Wave sounds like it might be good but in reality all it's going to do is make the mobs hit by confusion auto attack you (which they're doing anyway) if you're taking on a Super, Ultra, Boss, or Hero mob you'll do better loading them up with a dodon ray, the crane cyclone and typhoon and then freezing and sleeping them.
I'd throw an extra SP into Resist It as you'll need it for stopping things like stun or confusion on yourself more frequently.
with your leftover 5 SP i would suggest investing them into wither regular Dodon ray or Tri-Beam Cannon. If you intend to go into PvP i'd pick Tri-Beam. you'll be able to cast it when/if you put your opponent to sleep for that last bit of extra damage before your DoTs run out. The regular Dodon Ray is a fast to use skill that hits in a straight line which can take a good chunk of health out of your enemies that are in a line
What should I work on in THIS build?

What should I work on in THIS build?
PVE: Take 2 SP from Searing Crane and the 5 from Energy Heat Wave and 1 from the Master Fan Out (not made for PVE, because it is only used for KD)), and put them into Dodon Ray and anything of your choosing(recommendation from 2 friends regarding that build)
PVP: All your physical Attacks don't really matter, so you can take them off to max Dodon Ray and Gut Buster! -

So this build is what you're suggesting I should use? And is this a pve, pvp, or hybrid build?

hey guys this is now fully updated with new dot calculations using the same mob and gear thanks to the weekly resets and everyone for helping me
-
lerroy Jenkins!
-
so ive been testing the old build and just found out that destructo disk is better than dodon but theres no SP added on destructo disks on any of the builds that you are suggesting or i could be opening a link for a different build, id like to see the updated build please

Poison Bleed: does some state damage and inflicts poison damage to your opponent with a 2 sec cast time.
Just a short nudge: is it still 2 seconds cast time? In the game it says 1 second.
Nonetheless: really great guide. I liked it before and I like it even more now. Your testing clearly shows that there's still room for improvement for cranes. I simply can't get over that fact that more or les every single DoT regardless of SP spent does around 900-950 damage.
Especially spells like Solid Bleed suffer from this. 7 additional SP to gain 219 damage per tick? 4 SP for 77 more damage per tick on Double Bleed? 5 SP for 77 more damage on Dodon Ray? T
Those things are really, really off-putting in my opinion.

its 1 second charge roughly another second for it to hit target

on old dot settings before daneos changed it back to Taiwan destructo disk was indeed better but now since we went back to Taiwan numbers disc is not as good as dodon ray and mystical crane typhoon

Hey Man. I was just wondering. For the Crane hermits fan am I looking for Energy Crit % or Physical Crit % ? Very well done guide.
-
well it depends on your play style I like energy crit not enrgy crit % so my master fan out can crit more often.
if you like your dots better go for physical crit%
-
Thank you Very very much for pointing me in the right Direction. Phy Crit % it is. Again I can't fathom how great this guide is. From skills to Armor/Weapon building.
-
recommended builds will be changed on feb 1 2017 since thousands slashes not working as well as new dot calculations
PVE 1) level builder, mob gather, dungeon raider,
explanation: you get maxmize aoe for your bleeds, debuffs and unique secondary stuns, . fiery shout is also maxed and can be utilized as a gatherer . My recommendation is to use this build just to level your charactor up to 70 then use a reset to enjoy the pvp aspect.
PVE2) hybrid energy and dot
explanation you have a mixture of dots and master fan out with a max tribeam to be the hammer for your combos. I have used this build in past found myself using only using tribeam as a knockdown instead of a finsher .
this is pvp2 retooled to allow players to enjoy pvp and some pve experience. utilizing posion bleed and spirit wave on mobs to paralyze targets and still be able to pound your oponents with kds and debuffs this build i believe is well rounded for both styles. I have tested this in current dbog and it works quite splendidly.PVE/PVP2) Knock down King!
This is pvp 2 retooled this gives a full array of knock downs, utilizing fiery shout to gather mobs or firing a long range burn in pvp a decent upgradeaded energy heat wave to confuse you opponents in rank, while having spirit wave at +2 to assist you in both pvp and pve situations. It still has a full array of debuffs just no dodon ray barrage due to anti bleed and long cast time. This is my current build.
PVP 1) Pure dot click here . Basicially this build gives you a large array of dots and complementary moves like energy heat wave and spirit wave. 2 knock moves added tri beam and master fan out to help hammer out those combos. this build is not my current build but served me very well in the past.
PVP 2) Debuff Crane. this is a pvp speciality of cranes they are the best debuffers in game utilizing graceful backstab to lower an oponents lp down to a 3rd of there helath, as well as reducing there def by 500 points helps cranes to increase damage output on oponents and win pvp matches. this build is recommended over the pure dot build as it better suits cranes for 1v1 pvp. it wont save you against A KARMA THEY BROKEN AS HELL
RECOMMENDED pvp COMBOS:
the following are only a few simple combos i recommend for a crane to use in battle i will not be giving them all as it makes this class too easy to operate.1) hypnosis , then crane discharge, then put out the flames: this combo is very useful for yourself as it gives you more lp and ep in a rank match if you can get this off it will increase your survival ability you will also have. This combo is famously made by flatearth a powerful pvp crane .
2)speed restrain, then fan out, this combo is cranes go to combo to immobilize melee targets like stick or sword please note that dash dash quick attack can beat this combo you will have to find a way to get this combo off im not going to tell you hehe.
3) hypnosis, then charge 2 rp balls, then tri beam (knock down rp), then dodon ray, then master fan out (knock down), this combo is a decent string combo that allows dodon ray to accumulate 3 seconds of damage on a target, i use this combo alot on turtles and namek claws its pretty decent and could win you the round if timed correctly if timed wrong this combo will get you killed practice makes perfect
4)fiery shout, energy heat wave, this combo is a great combo to get your stun off at a safe distance compared to solid bleed energy heat wave combo. note thou the cast time of 2 seconds may hurt you so use this combo wisely
PVE 1 has an empty build link...PLZ FIXXXX

Box-head(boxbox) Can you explain me the correct function of Thousand Slashes? I remember in TW do a LOT of damage, now it's different, first of all count the DoT (old thousand i remember not do this). What change on this skill now? (I'm only lv 52, then the skill are lv 1 for the moment) but it's not like TW. Thank you man
PS Very nice guide
-
Here Thousand Slashes got nerfed because people cried, so it's very weak and deals only 1/3 of the supposed damages.
Lvl 5 it becomes AoE, dmgs stays the same.
-
as sendoku said.
thousand slashes has been nerfed servely.
it does 1/3 of its supposed damage.
I haven't updated this in a long while basically thousand slashes is useless now don't bother with it.
generally cranes are garbage class. they cant do anything in pve (cause defense on mobs against dots nuter cranes heavly,as well as cranes being extremely squishy (cant take a hit at all), Pvp 1v1 rank they are ok against average people and newbs but you have to know what your doing.
in pvp budokai the only way to get pass prelims for a crane is to have a dojo seed. the only successful crane sendoku won 1 budokai tournament using a seed.
in pve event runs like ccbd and uds
they are too slow to be effective so forget on joining any runs unless u have ccbd51 tickets or very nice friends.
I only use mine for dojo wars now, even then they are kinda just ultility, like a buffer with a pure buff build. I would not recommend this class to no one now. Ill reupdate this to save people from the misery.
even the best crane sendoku has left this class.
for many reasons.
basicially in short . play crane if you want a different experience of dbog , don't main it because it will disappoint you
-
Ah, Thank you Box-head(boxbox) and Sendoku , lol when i start to play crane in TW (they had lost in time yet, and thousand slashes next) is a great class, now is poor class for what i see now. I think change class, i think search another funny class but more balanced. I Have to see what Daneos did on other class, any suggestions?
-
well it depends on how you play if u like dots I recommend sk
they less squishy compared to cranes,
if u want to mindlessly one shot ppl go fighter.
if u want a mixture of unique skills and damage and want to be a human then sword.
if u want easy 1v1 dominance karma.
like I said thou its all about your play style.
I'm a crane currently but I definitely will not be playing it as my main in beta if it remains or gets worst than it is already.
