While the lvl70 cap may change everything up, I'm curious how people would rank DBO's classes. You're free to only mention the top/bottom 3 or 5, or steal my layout, just remember that this tier list is for DBOG's current lvl60 cap, not retail. Also, it takes into account ALL parts of the game. PvE, Party & Solo PvP. I'll take info from Budokai Rankings to remain a LITTLE objective, but tiers will always be subjective, so don't take it personal if you're that OP guy using a class which is on the bottom of my tier list.
No matter what part of DBO you play, Dendes are unmissable. There's not a single party you wouldn't want a Dende on, PvP or PvE. With a good Dende, so long as you don't get one-shot or killed fast while the Dende is stunned, you're invincible. They even preserve EP so you can fight forever. Oh, you died? No, you didn't. They're basically a required class for the CCBD, and you gain a MASSIVE advantage in any other dungeon/TMQ. They're also great at solo PvP, having won solo Budokais multiple times. Did you know their armor's the same type dedicated tanks wear? There's no wonder one of these pricks called himself "God".
Still. They're not the fastest farmers, and they have some trouble getting through solo prelims without help. I guess even god's not perfect.
Shadow Knights are often accused of being the most broken class in DBO. They're arguably the best tank with many AoEs and skills to hold aggro, deal surprisingly much damage, can self-heal overtime, have great buffs, multiple stuns and a plenty of utility skills. And since so many of their skills are good, there are a lot of ways to personalize your SK. Basically, they have it all.
Despite that, however, the tank role can apply to many classes in DBO. Buffers, Pokos, or even an incredibly overpowered Swordsman can take that role. That's not wise for most, but smart and skilled teams can skip this class in PvE, which can't be said about Dendes.
I would've placed Karmas above Shadow Knights, but then alot of their bugs got removed, alot of bosses became immune to their debuffs, and Playful Doll got kicked into the ground. Yet they're still top-tier...that's when you know you have a broken class. Even after their nerfs, a Karma remains necessary for speed parties, and they also have an incredible powerful 46 FOCUS+24% energy critrate buff which turns everyone into an (energy)critting monster that hardly misses with either stuns or attacks. In PvP, despite the nerfs, they still deal enough damage and stunlocks to have won multiple times, and they're very often taken to party PvP for their incredible debuffing power.
They're not as broken as they once were, but they are still very much the best of the best and still win tournaments to this day.
Ultimate suits this class' name pretty well. Their buffs are so invaluable people make alt accounts JUST so they can farm with the Ultimate's ridiculous power on a class they actually enjoy. But their usefulness goes far beyond their buffs. They have fantastic support skills, being able to heal EP&LP, taunt, and remove any debuff/stun from anyone, even from themselves WHILE they're stunned. On top of that, they're good tanks, their spins are great for farming and godlike AoE when speed-buffed, their Hyper Bomb and Double Cluster function as great debuffs not resisted by most bosses, and their attack speed damage as Pure Majin is incredible.
That said, they don't have much utility for solo play, only have 1 real stun, and are a slow-attacking class.
By far the best overall human class in the game. While their utility and approach options are rather limited, what they DO have is incredible powerful. Speed Restrain is a huge deal for speed parties to avoid confronting bosses/ultras, they have the strongest AoEs attacks surpassed only by speed-buffed buffers, 2 life-saving AoE stuns, great hitrate and energy attack group buffs, and a sleep skill for strategically avoiding nonsense or just casually heal/charge up in the middle of solo PvP while all your skills cool down. What could be OP about that?
Fortunately, they have the massive PvP weakness of no quick distance stun and are the most fragile glass cannon of all.
